Background

My name is Jacky and I am a life transformation coach based in the UK. I was drawn to life coaching as a natural carer. This caring role has been a part of my life forever. From caring for my younger siblings through childhood to co-dependent dysfunctional relationships as an adult. And now as a carer for my disabled son.

I appreciate how, as a carer, life can feel out of our control and become closed in. I know what it means to be live with other’s addictions. The manipulations and heartache this brings. The feeling of helplessness, the slow chipping away of self-worth and final loss of a sense of self. And often this is covered with a veneer that looks fine to others on the outside. The carer that becomes a coper.

Apart from caring for others, I have spent many years managing other personal issues. I struggled with anxiety and put unrealistic expectations on myself. I undervalued myself, neglected my self-care and paid the price. This finally caught up with me. I broke under the pressure.

But I worked through and changed my life. Using life coaching myself, 12 step programmes, self-development and CBT I overcame my personal struggle to find healing and happiness. I worked with coaches to face my personal excuses for inaction and had to rebuild my self-confidence too.

Many of my circumstances are the same as before but now I am a lot more at peace.

I know what it means to make tough personal choices. To face and overcome what may seem like insurmountable hurdles.

All my experiences have taught me a lot about getting the balance right. About recognising the right level of boundary setting and self-care. Knowing when to let go and when to be present with a helping hand. I have learned to be at peace with my choices and overcome my worries about what is beyond my control.

And now I’m here to share that with you as your transformational life coach.
